1881 中天楼 Chong Tian Cultural Hotel

During Monday night, daddy brought us out for a dinner as he bought a coupon before for a dinner at Chong Tian Lou at the price for RM78 ( original price RM150++) for a typical chinese cuisine. At first, i have no idea at all about this restaurant, I thought that it was the same like the other chinese restaurant. But when we reached the restaurant, i was totally stunned by the decoration. It is actually a Chinese Heritage restaurant and the owner decorated it with antiques, it is really beautiful enuf! this was the first time I had dinner in a heritage restaurant in Penang, excited ^^

It was actually a western+chinese restaurant and it gives me an antique cultural dining experience. Love it ^^ 

it was divided into two section, and early reservation is recommended hehe. 

the design of the restaurant 中天楼 is really awesome. 看得出老板花了很大的心思在设计上。每一件摆设都很精细，让人感觉很惊喜 =) and this restaurant is really big~ downstairs is the restaurant while upstairs is the hotel. 

天井。 or we call it as airwell, it is a typical feature for heritage shophouse~ it is very important in those heritage house as it is the source of the day light in the house ( well that time don have any lamps yet) and it gives the house a good ventilation. better than air-con~

Our dinner! well we got 1 soup ( shark fin soup) and 4 dishes for dinner, got vegetables, fish, pork and chicken. overall, the food is not bad but a bit salty for me. the shark fin is superb! ( hope that they r not using the real shark fin actually >~<) and we got chinese tea for the drinks. The workers there gave us a very good service where they served us the tea. and the receptionist was very kind and friendly

Together with my family~ my mom, dad and brother. my sister was in matriculation that time.

Overall i really appreciate the decorations of the restaurant, like what my mom said, this kind of place, 重点在于气氛, which means its atmosphere is the real focus than the food. Really impressed with the passion of the owner to decorate this restaurant into such a beautiful one. 

And I learned a very important lesson from this dinner. My photos quality are not satisfactory at all in this blog coz i forgot to bring my camera and my handphone gave me a poor quality pictures T..T don overestimate the photo quality from the handphone and bring my camera everywhere i go next time.
