Penang got so many interesting point of attractions recently and how I wish I can visit them all. After months of waiting, the first 3D interactive museum in Penang is ready to welcome her customers on 1st November 2013, with an overwhelming response. Lots of people love it!! just like the murals in Penang streets, this museum not only emphasise on 3D pictures but some real materials too!

The first 3D trick art museum in Malaysia is located in i-city Shah Alam, which I visited it before during August and I blogged about it before =)) People might compare, what is the difference between these 2 museums? The difference is huge with the theme. For the Shah Alam, it looks more like foreign art feel; while for Penang, it displays the lifestyle of the Penang Lang of different generations, from our grandparents to our current generation. And this is the reason why it is special compared to others, it transform our lifestyle into pictures, more than pictures, a 3D interactive museum. In short, this museum is totally Penang feel haha.

We went there on weekend and it was totally crowded, really 'people mountain people sea'. Just a suggestion here, to go this museum on weekdays so it is not so crowded and you can have more space to enjoy the visit. Will definitely go for the 2nd time, a more crazy one, with the gang when Zerga and Bamboo are back. And don forget to bring IC, they checked IC if we wish to purchase the Malaysian ticket for the museum. Our typical Penang slang is not an identity to prove that we are Penang Lang, sad. haha

Little cousin Amelia sat on the trishaw at outside, a real trishaw. Quite excited for us becoz in our lifetime we never ride on a human trishaw like this ( I rode the bicycle one, once I think?). It is a main mode of transportation in our grandparents time, if you got $$$. How it works? Human will tarik it. Don understand? watch more TVB or Stephen Chow drama please XD

There are 7 miniature dioramas which reflect the Penang lifestyle in the gallery. Yes, this is the first gallery in the museum. or I should say, it reflects the lifestyle as a Malaysia. They make it so real and I was really impressed with the dioramas.
The first picture is the Indian Barber. Haha it is so familiar to me becoz my brother still have his haircut with Indian barber with less than RM10. he said it is cheap and speedy. the woman was holding the rotan to force the child to cut his hair. LOL
The second picture is the nasi lemak stall. We all love nasi lemak, and it is our favorite breakfast when we are rushing for class. I wonder how they make it.
The 3rd picture is the Malay Food Lemang.
The 4th picture is the Mamak Stall, where we can get our favorite Roti Canai over here hehe ^^ and sometimes teh tarik.

And next station: the early 20th century Penang Jetty
Penang was once one of the most important jetty in Penisula Malaysia, especially when British colonised this country. Whenever we watched drama and people mention about "nanyang", most of the time it is Penang. Feel so proud haha. This gallery really impressive, from boats, goodies, people, building, birds on the sea, and fishes. Good job Made In Penang ^^

Then we proceeded to the 2nd part of the museum, the 3D mural art gallery at the 2nd floor. woohoo ^^
She just bomb a ship and she was so happy with it. haha
Go to Fort Cornwallis near the City hall, and you can see a lot of cannons there. Bomb to the sea haha.

and her sister, Natalie saved the fat lady by pumping air into the punctured tyres on the trishaw. haha

while I tried to help the old guys for some art craft. big hammer ^^

beautiful chinese joystick. if want to see the real one, please go to the Guan Yin Temple at Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, you can see a lot ^^

spread my love to mummy =)) Love Lane is existing is Penang FYI =)) a street with all the love stories. Hmm government should consider to build a love and romantic park in Love Lane?

Cutie opened up the vege for the tortoise. wonder where you can see this scene? it is in Kek Lok Si temple where there is a big tortoise pond with lots of tortoise. This is what I like about this museum, they merged all the attractions in Penang in the art, one stone kill two birds huh.

playing water gun with the Dragon. When to see Dragon? of coz not in the real life, can see in Penang everywhere during Chinese New Year, together with the lion dance. Love Penang so much for being so unique ^^

two little cousins trapped in the mutant plants and screamed for help. Think this is not relevant to Penang? Penang has a botanical garden which is very beautiful and I would like to say " green and original". In short, Penang has it all

Played mirror game with mummy. Mirror effect ^^ can have a lot of fun here with the "symmertrical" old style furnitures.

wow Amelia got super power to carry this huge coconut and throw!! clap clap clap bravo
this scene can be seen during Thaipusam festival, especially in Little India in Penang Heritage Zone. One of the tradition for Indians during Thaipusam besides the Kavadi.
*so don buy coconut that time, expensive till die XD

Adui Hui Xin why you so careless? see la the lipstick spoilt her face adi la.
When to see? this one ar, ghost festival in Chinese Calender the 7th month. Will have a lot of opera show at the roadside that time. with all the beautiful costumes and 京剧. A chinese tradition.

One of the MUST Do activities in the new year for Chinese~ pukul orang kecil 打小人
actually it means that we hit away all the bad luck and welcome a good new year la. sometimes can be defined as " hit those ppl who bring bad luck to you/ you dislike" haha.
See, mummy hit me with the wooden clogs T..T
**how we do this? optical illusion with a good angle la haha.

Amelia with the super big prawn for Char Kuey Teow. Hey you sure your mouth is big enough to swallow it bo?
If you come to Penang but you do not eat Char Kuey Teow, sorry you have to come back again and eat it before you go back. How can you forget about Char Kuey Teow this super famous Penang food?? Normally, a plate of Char Kuey Teow costs from RM3 onwards ( RM5 a plate in Penang consider very EXPENSIVE for me adi). Where to get nice Char Kuey Teow? well most of the ppl recommend Lorong Selamat and Jalan Anson. I might eat them before but Im not sure. Find one time la ha I got eat this superior char kuey teow haha.

Spiderman please save my mummy and Amelia from falling down from the Clock Tower!!
To take this photo, we have to take off our shoes ( must la) and lie on the floor to create the effect. One of the most interesting 3D art together with the wooden clog one. should never miss this 2 3D art in the museum.
Where is the Clock Tower? The full name is Queen Victoria Memorial Clocktower, one of the recognisable icons in Penang, located at the Light Street Roundabout, near the Weld Quay.

lots and lots more but I did not post every of the 3D art here. got 30 of them in total ^^
The gallery is actually quite spacious when there is no crowd. if not sempit lol. until I wanna suffocated liao haha.

Then we went down again to the "semi second floor?" for the interactive kiosk. There is 2, one is the Tse Chuan mask and another one is the KOMTAR and Penang ferry.

I got a KOMTAR on my hand. Play with the sensor. Don throw away the entrance ticket as we can use it as a bookmark ( and I am using ^^). Make Penang a greener environment.

And not to forget to have a tea with our Chief Minister Mr Lim Guan Eng at the entrance of the museum ^^.
actually this is the most popular art in the museum haha.

And finally, mom carried the goods back to house haha.

Comments??
Good
  1. Like the way they merge the art with the Penang lifestyle and some attractions in Penang. It is like a lifestyle museum than a art museum, it is close to real life. Especially for Penang lang
  2. Definitely will come for the 2nd time together with my frens. Heard that they wil have more 3D art in future, is it real??? OMG awesome.
  3. I learned some history of Penang here that I did not know for the past 21 years haha. Worth for the price.
Bad?
Crisis of parking lots, definitely cannot park our cars at the roadside coz Weld Quay is damn congested all the time. Have to walk quite a far distance for parking T..T

This year Christmas was an ordinary but at the same time awesome one ^^ again, I did not celebrate it with my family becoz I got a class on Tuesday evening T..T and I cant skip it. emo to maximum. So I celebrated it with the same person again ( consecutively for 3 years, with Pat, Joyce, Hie Jing, Hie Ying, Siao Tiing and a new comer~ Wan Cheng). Gracie did not join us this year, would be nice if all of us gather again! Last year we had our X'mas feast in Seri Pacific Hotel Buffet, so we planned to have another X'mas meal this year.

Since the groupon did not offer any attractive deals this year, we chose to go to Mid Valley and had our dinner there. And we chose~ PASTA ZANMAI!! one of my favorite restaurant ( in fact I just tried it out once in Sunway Pyramid with my family, but I really love it). We went there for dinner, and THANKS GOD we did not have to involve in the long queue for dinner. Mid Valley was super crowded in Christmas haha. We ordered our food and they served us quite fast. Not going to describe the environment in this restaurant becoz it just a normal one, and very crowded haha.

**Pasta Zanmai don really offer a Christmas meal, we just ordered ho liao and treated it as our Christmas meal =)) as long as we have it together, anything could be a Christmas meal to us.

Group photo together when our food were served. From here you can see, the food and drinks occupied the whole table!! haha. We had a very full and fantastic dinner that night. We shared the food and drinks, and shared the joy together. Noted there is a twins in the gang? haha

The 3 girls in white!! what a coincident when 3 of us wore white colour together haha. I was wearing a basic singlet top from H&M. look at this photo, errr I need a hair cut again.

Our food together!! look so tempting and I am hungry again when I look at these food. They were just as awesome as they look. Zanmai never let me down ^^ and I just had Sushi Zanmai 2 weeks ago haha.

Our beverage complication~ look very colourful here haha.
From the left: Green apple juice ( RM7), passion fruit soda (RM7), ice lemon tea ( RM6), watermelon juice (RM7), carrot milk ( RM7), ice lemon tea ( RM6)

Pat said  : the green apple juice was very sour and healthy.
Cheng said:  the passion fruit soda is awesome!! ( same goes to me her beverage is our favorite).
Me : ice lemon tea is soso. aiya ice lemon tea got what special taste oh
Twins: watermelon OK
Siao tiing:  the carrot milk need more milk. ( very heavy carrot taste in the drink haha)

and here comes the food~

Pat with Mini Teriyaki Chicken Pasta to Mini Hotate Pizza( RM25)
comment: satisfied with the portion, just nice for a girl to finish a plate. although it wrote there as "mini". her pasta came with a special sauce, a half boiled egg and terriyaki chicken, nice try.
The tori Hotate ( chicken) pizza, divided into 6 so every of us had one. a crunchy pizza, with the tomato sauce on top I think, but for me the pizza was not as tasty as another one. still can try, everyone have a different tongue what.
** I sure cant finish if I ate this set alone, the pasta seriously is enough for a girl.

Cheng with her Chicken Terriyaki set ( RM20)
we all agree that she had the best set among us all. Since our cute girl love chicken so much so she had a very satisfying dinner. The chicken tasted awesome, boneless summore haha. The set came with a plate of terriyaki chicken, a bowl of sald, a miso soup and a bowl of rice.

Hie Jing with her Mini Ebi Ika no Spicy Pasta no Mini Chicken Onsen Tamago Pizza ( RM25).
her pizza was better than Pat's. Not sure about the pasta becoz she sat too far away from me and I did not taste it. but the pizza, the seaweed had a good combination with the crunchy pizza, the half boiled egg and the chicken. What I could say is Pasta Zanmai is not stingy with the food ingredients and we really enjoyed our meal to the maximum. Highly recommend this set ^^

Hie Ying with her Chicken Terriyaki Omu Rice ( RM15)
her rice looked tempting, saliva is drooling again haha. The food looked good, I think same goes to the taste? need to ask her then haha.

Siao Tiing with her Chicken Onsen mini pasta ( RM13)
she had the same pasta like Pat's. Look at her smile and you will know how much she enjoyed the food haha.

And finally it is my turn. Mine: Tori Tortilla Roll with mini pizza ( RM25)
What I should say? hmm this set serve a creamy mushroom pasta with chicken terriyaki, and 6 soft shell crab sushi. The sushi had less ingredients than I expected, but still can taste that there was a "soft shell crab" inside la. If you want a super sushi meal, please kindly go to Sushi Zanmai ^^
The pasta, creamy mushroom is my all time favorite, and Pasta Zanmai did not let me down!! They served me a really wonderful pasta!! and my tummy was satisfied to the maximum. It was not too creamy so I did not get yucks at the end of the meal. Highly recommend to all pasta lover ^^

Overall, this is a nice place to have a dine =)). It would be the best if they don have service charge and government tax ( in total 16%), but this is quite kidding LOL.

在他忙碌而不通电话的时候,要试着去体谅,虽然是很难很煎熬;

Bored of shopping in KL and wish to find something new?? Let's go for cycling!! Good for health, save money, explore the beauty of a city~ these are the reasons y I love cycling so much, especially when im new in a city. Walking is too exhausting, and car makes me miss out a lot of beautiful places along the journey. and I spent around RM15 for the whole journey for cycling!! RM6 for taxi, RM 6 for bike rental, RM1 for bus fare to Putrajaya Sentral and RM2 to get our ass back to K17 muahaha. So nice and so.... economic haha. And we had a wonderful time together in Putrajaya although it was as hot as oven.

So early morning we called a taxi to go to Taman Botani in Persint 1 Putrajaya ( just near to the mosque). It took us around 15 minutes to the park. Uncle Cit ( the taxi driver) highly recommended us to have a cycling in Wetland Putrajaya and Dengkil Wetland next time. Ok, put in my bucket list again haha. The reason we chose for Taman Botani is becoz we got more information of this park compared to others. Initially we wish to rent a bike in the city and cycled around Putrajaya, but we really lack of information where can we get the bike, so we changed our mind to Botanical Garden ( was a good choice actually, Putrajaya city was just too hot for a cycling in the morning, but suitable for a night cycling)

The botanical garden opens at 7am, but the cycling counter opens at 9am. Free admission for the botanical garden.
Entrance of the botanical garden~

The office in the botanical garden. Queue up in the ticket counter in this building to rent for the bike or tram service. The abang in the counter was very friendly and nice!

We reached the counter around, and we waited around 15 minutes for our turn. But so sad when he told us that all the bikes were rent out!! OMG, how could it be? we came so far from Serdang and there was no bikes for us?? He told us that there were only 30 bicycles available in the garden, and we needed to wait for an hour for the bike ( when ppl returned the bikes LOL) So we decided to have a walk around while waiting. TOo bad the counter did not have a waiting list #$%^&*

So we decided to go for a canopy walk~

Cheesse in the morning!! The canopy walk... not so canopy to me, as this botanical garden is an artificial one, which means it is built by human, but nt develop from the original forest, so what to expect? takkan I request for a real jungle in the canopy walk meh haha.

The Sun was just too hot, pick a big leaf to have a shade for a while first haha.

Beautiful blooming flower in the morning, hello sweet one =))

beautiful.... tree tower?? haha so tall until I had to squad down to take the picture XD

one corner of the botanical garden, feels like u r in foreign country huh

A single tree in the big wide field. Look so lonely, no good.

So after an hour of "berkeliaran", we walked back to the counter around 10am in the morning. And too bad we were told by the abang that we needed to wait for 16 ppl before our turn. Which means we were the 17th, 18th and 19th people. We were like 0.o wait for another an hour?? Oh gosh.... We told them that there were plenty of bikes downstairs, but they told us that all the bikes that we saw in the "bengkel" were not functioning.... and waited for the arrival of the spare parts to save them. WTF... it is weekend man.

But, this is nt the end of our cycling trip yet. We told them that there was 3 baby-sitter bikes available, and we asked is it OK for us to rent it? hiak hiak, the answer is yes!! and hence we no need to wait for the 16 ppl and we can get our bikes immediately. haha so happy!!

Originally we should get a single bike like this, which costed us around RM4 per hour.

But then we chose to rent the baby-sitter bikes like this, costed us RM6 per hour, with an extra chair behind. Ppl used it to carry their toddlers, we used it to carry our bags haha. Useful what. Took this picture at the river bank at the another side of the garden.

Photos together first before we started our journey, woohoo ^^ 3 of us were so excited. but my excitement was like blown away after I saw my camera took this kind of photos.... walao e!

Bicycles on the path~ Guess which one was mine?? hahaha. For sure nt the pink colour. Some of my frens said: I tot u like pink so much, you got a lot of clothes in pink right?? I emphasise here, I like peach colour but not pink colour, princess is not my style, don mix it together. haha

The view of the river bank in the opposite~

The bridge on the river bank. Quite nice and beautiful. But we were not allowed to cycle on the bridge. Care for others =)) prevent accident.

Soo Ling with her bicycle. arg it was so hard for me to "bike and take picture", but... it looks like not bad huh, except for my kisiao camera shoot kisiao photos that day XD

Sien's Bike with the old old trees.

Good morning Hibiscus ^^ u looked so charming in the morning. happy blooming ^^

View of the mosque, and the prime minister's office from the garden, together with the Putra Bridge. The main attraction of the Putrajaya. but we did not go there that day, haha. That place was too hot for a visit in the afternoon.

Take a break with soo ling under the shady area.

pathway up to the flower garden area~ again we skipped it haha. LOL

pass-by a flower path before we cycled back to the starting point. So beautiful ^^

Beautiful pink flower~ but I cant name it. Im not a botanist haha.
