中天楼 1881 Chong Tian Cultural Hotel

Before I went back to UPM to start my new sem, my daddy brought my family and I to dine in Chong Tian Lou again since he bought another coupon for it. Tis time, we brought my grandpa together for a chinese cuisine, and my new hp NOTE 2 for photos haha. It costed about RM156++ for original price, but my dad managed to buy a half price groupon on internet. Save a lot of money huh hehe.

This was my second time to dine in this beautiful decorated restaurant. Fore more info about my last dining in Chong Tian Lou, please click HERE. Basically, Chong Tian Lou offered groupon dining package for every month. So depends on luck to get it. They changed their menu every month so we can try out different dishes with different excitement everytime haha. Parking lot was quite limited there so we departed from BW around 6pm ( we booked 7pm for dinner) so we can avoid the dinner time.

The outlook of the Chong Tian Lou restaurant. Very classical Chinese Old House design haha.

The GOH KAKI of the restaurant, or we called it the pedestrian pathway.

The interior design of the restaurant. Chong Tian Lou is not just a restaurant, But it also a hotel on the second floor. there is 2 yards for the skylight in the hotel, which contribute to the good ventilation and lightning system in daytime. And also, good photo quality haha

The moon gate in the Chong Tian Lou.

Fish pond in the restaurant. In feng shui, Chinese believe that it is good to have a pond with fish in the house, which water symbolise "money". If the water keep on flowing, it brings the meaning that the money will flow into our house too. if the water is stagnant, it is not really good as it means that our money or our property will not have any improvement. In terms of logical thinking, it is good to have such a design in the house too as it brings LIVE in the house. If the water is stagnant, it will become the breeding bed for mosquitoes and bring malaria or dengue.

The old style Chinese Tanglung in the restaurant.

And of coz, they had old Western Style lamp (维多利亚时代?haha)here too~ Combination of Chinese and Western.

Some antiques for display~

So, here is the food time!! muahahaha they really served good food to us! except the pork coz it was too..erm. oily for me. I try to avoid oily food all the time becoz of my oily face. aiks aiks. Oh yeah, the dining package is available for 4 ppl, so if got extra ppl, just tell them to add one bowl of rice will do.

My favorite dish of the day! fish curry! yummy yummy haha.

big prawns. This one is just OKOK.

Sorry to pork coz I din try it out. C the pork belly? OMG it was too oily for me haha

desert with mango 西米露. not really sweet, just nice for me. ( Im mango lover haha)

chicken with curry~

Taoge taoge taoge, with salted fish~ haha.

With my lovely grandpa, hope he like tis environment!! and also my chubby little brother. haha I think he looks like TERRY in a Singapore movie LOL

Antique bed in the restaurant. I wonder how those ppl slept on hard surface X..x

Antique chairs~

Old time ppl used to decorate their living room like this~ looks grand

Their beautiful yard in the middle of the restaurant. Love this photo so much~

The look of the yard on the floor~

Finally say bye bye to Chong Tian Lou at the their entrance after our dinner~ Hope for their next month groupon promotion again! haha

**in this dinner we made extra order for shark fin soup becoz my brother wanted it so much, and it costed around RM80. I hope they are using artificial shark fin, and the price is expensive becoz of the crab ( just a guess, not confirm from the restaurant). Feel guilty to eat it if they really use the real shark fin as the process to get the shark fin was so cruel until sharks faced extinction for that. If possible, don make order for shark fin. If they served in the menu, try to change with them. Make something good to preserve our nature.
